This website is a collection of my musings on marketing and ramblings about nothing. Because let’s be real, who has the time to research and write actual content?
“Can you tell me more about how this website came about?”
I’m glad you asked. It went exactly how Jerry Seinfeld and George Costanza pitched their show to Mr. Russell Dalyrmple of NBC on the sitcom, Seinfeld.
This is how the scene played in my head.
Mr. Dalyrmple: So, George and Jerry. What’s your idea for the website?
Jerry: Well, we’ve thought about it in a number of ways. But the basic idea is I would play myself…
George: [clears throat] May I?
Jerry: Go ahead.
George: I can sum it up in one word: nothing.
Mr. Dalyrmple: Nothing?
George: Nothing.
Mr. Dalyrmple: What does that mean?
George: The website is about nothing.
Jerry: Well, it’s not about nothing.
George: No, no. It’s about nothing.
Jerry: Well, maybe in philosophy. But even nothing is something.
Mr. Dalyrmple: So, what’s the premise?
Jerry: Well, I would play myself, as a marketer working in Hyderabad, India. I have a family, and a normal life, which is all true…
George: Yeah, but nothing happens on the website. It’s just like life.
Mr. Dalyrmple: Alright, tell me about the stories. What kind of stories?
George: Oh, no stories.
Mr. Dalyrmple: No stories? So, what is it?
George: What did you do today?
Mr. Dalyrmple: I got up and came to work.
George: There’s a website. That’s a website.
Mr. Dalyrmple: How is that a website?
Jerry: Well, maybe something happens to you on the way to work.
George: No, no. Nothing happens.
Jerry: Well, something happens!
Mr. Dalyrmple: So, why am I reading it?
George: Because it’s on the internet.
Mr. Dalyrmple: Not yet.
George: Okay. Look if you want to just keep doing the same old thing then maybe this idea is not for you. But I, for one, am not going to compromise my artistic integrity. And I’ll tell you something else. This is the website, and we’re NOT going to change it.
Eventually, Mr. Dalyrmple in my head caved in and I launched this website.

I’m a marketer by profession with over 5 years of experience exclusively in B2B SaaS. Currently, I’m the Content Marketing Manager at a B2B SaaS company called Optmyzr.
